LIVER FUNCTION TEST

What is it?
LFT are certain blood tests for detecting levels of bilirubin, proteins and certain enzymes.

Why is it done?
To detect concealed liver disorders.

When is it done?
At least once a year for people with history of jaundice, alcoholism and any liver diseases in the past. For others, as and when recommended by the doctor.

How to avail it?
One has to dial 6825000, 6825004, and 6825005 and take an appointment for a suitable date for check-up. One may also fix up the appointment through the internet (ehirc.com).

Before..Precautions and Prerequisites
LFT should usually be done after overnight fasting.
