What is it ?
HEART PORT surgery is performed through a small opening in the right chest while access to heart lung machine is provided through tube inserted in the vessels of groin. Though it is not feasible to perform every kind of surgery through this approach, procedures like valve replacement and ASD closure have been performed successfully. The cut is very small and it leaves behind a cosmetic scar.
