Post Procedure Advice
After the procedure patients remain admitted for one day in order to monitor vitals and post-procedural complications. Small children and those who receive general anesthesia are kept fasting for 4-6 hours and given intravenous fluids. Older children and adults are not required to fast after the procedure if general anaesthesia was not given during the post procedure period patients are monitored for any bleeding at the site of puncture at the leg vein and artery.
