Hematology and Clinical Pathology laboratories deal with various blood tests like cell counts, including peripheral smear, coagulation studies and examination of body fluids like urine, stool and CSF.

The laboratory provides investigative support in order to arrive at accurate diagnosis, to assess the severity of disease and to evaluate efficiency of medical treatment. Hence the patients come to lab for scientific investigations of clinical disorders.

The services include hematological, biochemical & microbiological investigations besides blood bank services. The latter includes collection of blood, testing for blood transfusion safety, cross match and issue of blood/ blood components.

A physician orders appropriate investigations after thorough clinical examination of the patients. Investigations pertaining to particular system of the body involved are ordered. The patients report to lab along with this list of investigations & collect the results same evening/ early next morning.
The investigations are carried out on state of the art, automated machines to avoid human errors. An experienced Pathologist supervises the lab work.

For routine investigations, specimens are normally collected after patients have fasted overnight, for other special investigations patients should get in touch with the lab and specific instructions will be given.
